Advocates boycott courts in Western Orissa

Sambalpur, Dec 7 (UNI) Advocates in this part of Orissa today boycotted their courts demanding establishment of a permanent bench of Orissa High Court in Western Orissa.

Members of the Sambalpur Bar Association led by its president Purna Chandra Mohanty and Secretary Chitrasen Mishra marched in a procession to the collectorate and submitted a memorandum in support of their demand. They have been holding such protest on Wednesday of every calendar month for a permanent bench of the high court.

He said the advocates would intensify the agitation if no concrete decision was taken by the government in setting up of the bench of High Court in Western Orissa.
