Advani should return money collected for Ram Mandir; Goyal

New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) Shiv Sena's North India In-charge Jai Bhagwan Goyal today demanded senior BJP leader L K Advani explain where have the crores in cash and jewellery collected in the name of constructing Ram Mandir at Ayodhya gone.

''He had collected crores of unaccounted funds but has not done anything for the construction of the temple at Ayodhya. Where has the money gone? Who has used the funds?,'' he asked.

Mr Advani had given the slogan ''one brick, one rupee'' and received generous amounts of money from the masses. He, however, did nothing for constructing the temple when he was the country's Home Minister and then Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Goyal claimed.

BJP was only using Ram Mandir as a slogan to gain political mileage but it had done precious little in the direction of constructing the temple over the last several years, he said.

He should either give the money back to the people it had been collected from or hand it over to the Shiv Sena, which was ready to build the temple at Ayodhya, Mr Goyal added.
