Srinagar, Dec 7 (UNI) As many as 215 Haj pilgrims, including 89 women, from Jammu and Kashmir left here for Jeddah in a special flight today.
The pilgrims were seen off at the Srinagar Airport by senior officials of the state administration and the Haj Committee.
With this, a total of 4278 people from Jammu and Kashmir have proceeded on the Haj pilgrimage so far.
Only one Haj flight would be operated till December 9 when the additional 4000 pilgrims would be airlifted from here to Jeddah.
About 10,674 pilgrims from the state would be able to perform the Haj this year as compared to 9,200 in 2005.
