2 held, stolen articles worth Rs 8 lakh recovered

Tirupati, Dec 7(UNI) The Tirupati Crime Branch police today arrested two persons and recovered a car, 40 cellphones and other items from their possession.

Addressing the press, Crime Circle Inspector P Abhishekam said following a complaint from a watch and mobile shop owner whose premises was ransacked and burgled a couple of days back, the police formed special teams to trace the culprits.

They raided a house at BTR Colony in Tirupati Mangalam where K Nageswara Rao(30) and R Chittibabu(35) were arrested.

A car, 40 cellphones, motorcycle and clothes amounting to Rs eight lakh were recovered from the duo who were involved in several incidents of theft in Andhra Pradesh.
