Youth hacked to death

Mirzapur, Dec 6 (UNI) A 22-year-old youth, who was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon on Monday night, succumbed in hospital here.

Police said Irshad Alam of Tarkapur locality had accompanied two neighbours from his house.

A little later, locals found Alam lying wounded in an orchard. He was taken to hospital, where the victim died yesterday morning.

Sources claimed the reason behind the attack was a love affair.

Meanwhile, two men of the locality have been named in the case, of which one possesses a historical record.
