Dr B R Ambedkar remembered on 50th death anniv
Chandigarh, Dec 6: Floral tributes were paid to Dr B R Ambedkar on the occasion of his 50th death anniversary at Dr Ambedkar Study Circle here today.
In paying rich tributes to Baba Saheb, Punjab Minister Jagjit Singh said in his message, ''Dr Ambedkar's life and philosophy is a great inspiration to all of us. He stood for equality, dignity and well-being of the entire humanity.'' Baba Saheb believed in excellence synthesised with equal opportunities to all so that an ideal society with having no barrier of caste creed or colour should take shape.
The Minister appealed to every individual to get inspiration from Dr Ambedkar and endeavour to put his ideals into practice.
Prominent among others, who paid tributes, on the occasion were Chandigarh Chief Executive Officer Amar Nath, UT Social Welfare Director Amandeep Kaur and Dr Ambedkar Study Circle president Tek Chand.
