Train services affected in Howrah, Sealdah sections

Kolkata, Dec 6 (UNI) Train services on both Howrah and Sealdah sections of Eastern Railway were disrupted for more than two hours from 1200 hrs today following blockade of tracks by Trinamool Congress supporters.

They were protesting against acquisition of farm land at Singur in Hoogly district.

ER sources said the blckade had affected both ups and down trains services of local passengers as well as mail trains.

Normal services resumed after police and RPF dispersed the supporters from the tracks.
