Sidhu gets three-year suspended sentence, Rs one lakh fine
Chandigarh, Dec 6 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today sentenced former BJP MP and ex-cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu to three years rigorous imprisonment for causing the death of one Gurnam Singh at Patiala on December 27, 1988 after an altercation but suspended the sentence to enable him to appeal in the apex court till January 31, 2007.
A division bench of Justices Mehtab Singh Gill and Baldev Singh, X X X picking up para two of DR 49 Law-HC-lead Sidhu-sentence.
