Talking about different developmental projects being launched in her Rae Bareli parliamentary constituency, Ms Gandhi said the Central government had already notified the Lucknow-Rae Bareli-Allahabad road as a national highway, while all efforts were being made to revive ailing Indian Telephone Industries (ITI).

''It was the dream of late Indira Gandhi to see Rae Bareli as an industrial town,'' she observed.

About the power scenario, Ms Gandhi said electricity was a basic need of the people and the new Uchahar project would certainly give boost to the power sector in UP.
