Non-ferrous metal rises on better buying support

Mumbai, Dec 6 (UNI) Non-ferrous prices rose on better buying support in line with London Metal Exchange, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.

Ferrous metal remained steady on moderate demand.

In non-ferrous category, copper wire bars hiked by Rs 500 per quintal on reduced stock supply.

Tin slab and Nickel cathode went up by Rs five each per kg on improved demand.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 35,300, Copper utensils - Rs 32,100, Brass utensils - Rs 22,800, Brass cuttings - Rs 27,000 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,900.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 39,000, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,000, Zinc slab - Rs 24,300, Lead ingots - Rs 7,800, Tin slab - Rs 585 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,845 (per kg).
