NDA to boycott BAC and meetings with Speaker

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) The Opposition NDA today decided to boycott the Business Advisory Committee and Speaker's meetings to protest against ''discriminatory and double standards'' adopted while running the House.

The meeting attended by all NDA parties was unanimous that the boycott will continue until the issue was resolved, BJP Parliamentary Party Spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra said.

He said the NDA leaders which met at the chamber of Leader of the Opposition L K Advani was concerned about the double standards adopted against the Opposition parties.

He said NDA leaders attended the meeting and voiced their concern about the Government getting their official business passed amidst confusion without subjecting the issues for discussion and Parliamentary scrutiny.

The issue of ''discrimination at the hands of Speaker Somnath Chatterjee'' regarding the arrest of BJP President Rajnath Singh in Singur, came up in the BJP Parliamentary Party yesterday where it was decided that the NDA leadership should take up the matter.
