Mizoram NGO among top three in India

Aizawl, Dec 6: The Samaritan Society of Mizoram, a leading NGO ofthe state working on HIV/ADIDS awareness projects under united nationsprogramme was recognised as one of the three top NGOs in India.

Official release here today said the NGO begged UNAIDS CivilSociety Award 2006 in appreciation of it's performance under themigrants project of UNAIDS India on the occasion of world AIDS Day lastweek.

Under the project the NGO has successfully interacted on HIV/AIDSissues with 6500 migrants including Myanmaries, Bangladeshis as well asnon-Mizo population across the state during past four years.
