Katni, Datia declared drought-hit

Bhopal, Dec 6 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has declared 7 tahsils in Katni district and five clusters of villages in three tahsils of Datia district as drought affected.

The government also released Rs 1.25 crore for starting drought relief works in both districts.

Bahoriband, Dheemkheda, Reethi, Mudwara(Katni), Vijayraghavgarh, Badwara and Barhi tahsils of Katni were declared drought-hit. In Datia district, two clusters of 108 villages in Datia tahsil, two clusters of 54 villages in Sewda tahsil and one cluster of 30 villages in Bhander tahsil have been declared drought-affected, official sources said.
