Iraq panel warns of chaos if situation worsens
WASHINGTON, Dec 6 (Reuters) A high-level independent commission warned today that Iraq could ''slide into chaos'' if the situation there continues to worsen.
''The consequences could be severe. A slide toward chaos could trigger the collapse of Iraq's government and a humanitarian catastrophe. Neighboring countries could intervene ... al Qaeda could win a propaganda victory,'' the report by the Iraq Study Group said.
