House sites for 265 Home Guards in AP soon

Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 6 (UNI) The District Superintendent of Police Soumya Mishra today said that about 265 Home Guards would be given house sites soon.

Participating as a Chief Guest at the 43rd 'Home Guards Raising Day' celebrations here, Ms Soumya said the district administration had given eight acres of land for the purpose. This was the first time that any district could get so much of land to benefit a large number of Home Guards at a time, she added.

The SP reviewed the ceremonial parade presented by the Home Guards on the occasion. They exhibited their fire fighting skills, rescue operation skills and mock drill on the eve.

Exhorting the Home Guards to continue their work and help each other, she wanted them to set an example to others, a press release said.
