House of Pearl Fashions buys UK warehouse

New Delhi, Dec 6: House of Pearl Fashions Ltd, a multinationalapparel company, has acquired a new warehouse facility in MiltonKeynes, UK, through its subsidiary Poeticgem Ltd for over 2.4 millionpounds.

The storage facility will be a garment logistics warehouse with acapacity of nearly 43,000 square feet. Post-acquisition, the totalstorage capacity of Poeticgem Ltd will now go up to over 90,000 squarefeet, the company said in a statement here today.

''The buyout of the garment logistics warehouse facility is partof our integration strategy. We believe that supply chain is a criticalpart of a retailer's businesses today,'' Mr Deepak Seth, GroupChairman, House of Pearl Fashions Ltd, said.

The new warehouse has sophisticated machinery for pre-retail finishing and reprocessing of garments.

House of Pearl Fashions, a ready-to-wear apparel firm, caters tothe supply chain demand of major customers in UK such as ASDA, NEXT,Tesco among others.
