Hearing of Jodha-Akbar case posted to Dec 20

Jaipur, Dec 6 (UNI) A court here today adjourned till December 20 the hearing of the case relating to wrong dipiction of history in Ashutosh Gavarikar's forthcoming period film Jodha-Akbar.

Though Gavarikar was present in the court, the matter could not be taken up for a hearing due to the strike of lawyers.

The court had issued a notice to Gavarikar and his production company Ashutosh Gavarikar Production Company Pvt Ltd on November 30 on a civil suit filed by Rajasthan Rajput Sabha president Narendra Singh Rajawat.

Rajawat, in his petition, had demanded a temporary injunction of the shooting of the film pointing out that Jodha Bai, the daughter of Mota Raja Udai Singh, was married to Salim, son of Akbar. Jodha Bai was Akbar's daughter-in-law but the film depicts her as Akbar's Hindu wife, he alleged.
