GM India rolls out a premium version of it's Aveo model

Halol (Gujarat), Dec 6 (UNI) Automobile giant General Motors India launched a premium model, the 'Chevrolet Aveo U-Va' at Halol in Gujarat.

''With a combination of modern Italian design, generous list of standard features and roomy interiors, the spacious five-door premium hatchback sets a new benchmark in it's segment. It will go on sale at Chevrolet retailers across India next year,'' General Motors India's president and managing director Mr Rajiv Chaba said.

Styled by Italian designer Mr Giorgetto Giugiaro, the premium hatchback is the smallest version of Aveo and targeted at those who are looking for a vehicle for personal or family use. One of the most spacious cars in it's class, the hatchback can accommodate up to five passengers comfortably, he explained yesterday.

Regarding the pricing, he said that the price of this car will be decided by end of this month only after studying the competition.

However, he estimated that it could be in the range of Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakhs.
