Fire destroys factory in Noida

Noida, Dec 6 (UNI) Property worth crores was destroyed when fire devastated a chemical factory here this evening.

Fire was reported at about 1730 hrs in Kanta Chemicals in Sector 9 and a dozen tenders battled for over two-and-half hours to put it out, Deputy Suprintendent of Police (Fire) Ramesh Bharti said.

Property, including vehicles, worth Rs five-six crore were gutted, he said.

The factory produced chemicals required for making perfumes.
