Finishing school to be ready by 2007: Das

Kolkata, Dec 06 (UNI) West Bengal IT Minister Debesh Das said here today that the state government would set up an IT finishing school in colaboration with various industry leaders, including TCS.

Talking to UNI, he claimed that it was perhaps the first such finishing school in the country.

The IT students face typical problems while facing interviews due to their language skills in spite of having huge potential.

"We want to make them industry-ready before they start their career. TCS MD S Ramodorai will be coming to town to inaugurate this finishing school next month. The school will be set up at Taratala," he said.

"The land allocation and construction work for the school has already been completed," he said.

However, he refused to divulge the investments that had gone into this project.
