Counting for byelection for Pandhana constituency tomorrow
Bhopal, Dec 6 (UNI) Counting of votes polled during assembly byelection for Pandhana constituency in Madhya Pradesh on December 4 will begin at 0800 hrs tomorrow.
Official sources said all necessary arrangements have been made in this regard. Results were expected by afternoon.
The byelection was necessitated due to the death of BJP MLA Kishorilal Verma.
The constituency is witnessing a five-cornered contest with the main fight being between BJP nominee and Mr Kishorilal's son Devendra Verma and Congress rival Hiralal Silawat.
However, the presence of Uma Bharti-led Bharatiya Jan Shakti candidate Vasudev Atut has made the contest interesting.
A total of 62.72 per cent voters exercised their franchise for the byelection.
This is the fourth by-election in the state since the BJP romped to power in December 2003 assembly elections. Earlier, the BJP had emerged victorious in Nohta, Vidisha and Malehra byelections.
