Congress gameplan has come unstuck: Rupala

Jamnagar, Dec 6 (UNI) Gujarat State President of the BJP, Parshotambhai Rupala, in his first visit here today after taking over reigns of state presidentship, attended seven programmes arragned by BJP units of the city and district.

Addressing mediapersons today he said that the Congress Party has been trying to defame the BJP and the Gujarat government with regards to Surat floods. Yet the people were not fooled. And in the recent civic polls of Kanakpur and Kansar near Surat city, which accounts for 21 seats, the Congress was routed, as the BJP won all the 21 seats, Mr Rupala said.

He also flayed the Centre for diverting the State's share of 200 MW of power to Maharashtra from the central grid. He wanted to know why the state Congress is silent about it? Later in an 'abhivadan samaroha' the BJP workers weighed Mr Rupala against 101 kg of khadi.

Mr Rupala is expected to leave later tonight to Dwaraka.
