Babri Masjid issue rocks Lok Sabha

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) The Lok Sabha witnessed two adjournments today following utter chaos in the House on the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition.

The House was adjourned first till 1200 hrs minutes after it had assembled at 1100 hrs and subsequently till 1400 hrs as there was no order again.

Almost all the members were on their feet raising slogans and counter slogans on the issue.

All that Speaker Somnath Chatterjee could do was to have the papers, listed for the day, laid on the table of the House amid the din.

As soon as the House assembled in the morning to take up the Question Hour, the BJP and Shiv Sena members got up waiving placards written ''Jai Shree Ram... Mandir Vahi Banayenge'' (Mandir will be constructed there at the site of Babri Masjid) and ''Afzal ko fansi do'' (Hang Afzal).

The Conggress, SP, Left and other parties opposed the NDA parties vehemently which led to pendemonium.
