Ashok Leyland sales up by 64 pc in Nov-06

New Delhi, Dec 6: Ashok Leyland, a Hinduja Group company today posted a 64 per cent increase in its net sales at 6,923 units in the month of November 2006, as against 4,213 vehicles sold during the same period last year.

The company's domestic sales also rose up by 59 per cent to 6,420 vehicles as compared to 4,033 vehicles in the corresponding period last year.

Total exports also witnessed an increase of 179 per cent at 503 vehicles, a company statement said.

The cumulative sales were up by 39 per cent on year-on-year basis, while cumulative domestic sales registered an increase of 36 per cent to 47,278 vehicles.

The exports rose by 35 per cent to 3,803 vehicles, it added.
