AP govt to set up permanant Lok Adalats
Hyderabad, Dec 6 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh government would set up six permanant 'Lok Adalats' in the state.
According to sources here, the Cabinet approved setting up the Lok Adalats in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Guntur, Vizag, Chitoor and Kadapa districts in the Cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat.
One district Judge, two retired judges, one head clerk, one typist and four attenders would be appointed in each Lok Adalat.
The Cabinet also approved allotment of 448 sq yards land to the family of Lok Sabha Speaker late GMC Balayogi at Jubilee Hills here, besides approving for the recruitment of 3000 additional Home Guards during 2006-07 and sanctioned Rs 5.4 crore for additional expenses.
The government granted height relaxation to Jubilee Hills Resort for construction of a three star hotel with seven floors as per special regulations applicable to posh Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills.
The Cabinet approved introduction of seven bills in the Assembly winter session scheduled to be held from December 11. A Bill to amend AP VAT Act 2005 and a Bill on exemption of Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanams Chairman and Members from the 'Office of Profit' ambit would be introduced in the Assembly.
