Accentia Tech marks $12 mln for buyouts in health care

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) Accentia Technologies Ltd today said it is looking for buying out BPO companies in the health care space and has budgeted 12 million dollars for the purpose in India, the UK and the US.

The company which is on an acquisition-driven expansion spree plans to buy companies particularly in the medical transcription segment, a statement said.

The five million dollar company through the acquisition of Geosoft Technologies (Trivandrum) Ltd (GTLL) in March this year, has its BPO presence with operations located at Thiruvanathapuran, Pennsylvania and London.

It has a 600-seater BPO facility located at Techno park, Thiruvanathapuran. ''In the BPO space, we specialise in the health care segment and our vision is to become the partner of choice for offshore transcription, coding and billing services,'' said the company's Director and CEO Pradeep Suseela Viswambharan.

BPO operations of the company cater to all the requirements of the IT industry with special emphasis on transcription services, medical billing and coding, insurance claim processing, consultancy services and the alike.

Mr Viswambharan said that the company was going for inorganic growth in a major way since there is a limit for organic growth.

The company recently tied-up with Bangalore-based Asscent Infoserve for using its infrastructure facilities, meant for BPO services.

Asscent Infoserve executes the company's outsourced business in health care BPO service. Under the alliance, the company will utilise the infrastructure strengths of Asscent Infoserve and have access to outsource its 600-seater BPO facility.
