Lalu assures early resumption of train to Pak delegation

New Delhi, Dec 5 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today assured a delegation of MQM leaders from Pakistan that the operation of train services between Munabao in Rajasthan and Khokrapar in Sindh, which has been suspended because of hevay rains, would resume by February-end.

Mr Prasad told the delegation that because of torrential rains in the recent past, a lake-like situation had been created at some places along the route.

''Efforts are being made to ensure the resumption of the suspended train service. We hope to overcome the situation by February-end,'' he assured the delegation.

Mr Prasad also said that fraternal feelings and friendship were the right approach for resolving all the disputes between India and Pakistan.

The Railway Minister's observation was greatly appreciated by the delegation members.

''There are leaders on the either side of the border, but you (Mr Prasad) are the one who belongs to both sides,'' they said.
