Haryana to stop aid of schools over salary delay

Chandigarh, Dec 5 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to withdraw the aid and recognition of those aided schools of the state, which do not pay the salary and allowances to the school staff by the seventh of every month through bank accounts.

Haryana Education Minister Phool Chand Mullana said the decision had been taken as it had been found that many of the aided schools in the state were not paying salary to the staff in time through bank accounts.

He said the department was releasing salary grant as per schedule according to rules. Despite this complaints from the employees working in these schools were being received that they were not getting pay in time.

He said it had also come to the notice of the department that contribution towards Contributory Provident Fund of some employees was also not being deposited in their accounts in time.
