Mukundakam Sharma sworn in as new CJ of Delhi HC

New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) Justice Mukundakam Sharma was today sworn in as Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.

Haryana Governor A R Kidwai, who is also currently officiating as Lt Governor of Delhi, administered the oath to Justice Sharma at Raj Niwas here this morning.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, her cabinet colleagues, Members of Parliament from the city, local MLAs and senior government officials were present on the occasion.

Retired and serving judges of the Supreme Court and the High Court, and members of the bar were also present.

Delhi Chief Secretary Ramesh Narayanaswami read out the notification of appointment of Justice Sharma, who was a sitting judge of the court.
