Mah Council condoles death of Bharade, Bismillah Khan

Nagpur, Dec 4 (UNI) Maharashtra Legislative Council today condoled the deaths of its former members, former Legislative Assembly Speaker Balasaheb Bharde and Shehnai maestro Ustad Bismilah Khan.

Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil moved the condolence motion, which was seconded by Leader of the Opposition Pandurang Phundkar.

Those who paid tributes included Chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh, Deputy Chairman Vasant Davkhare, B T Deshmukh, Madhukar Sarpotdar, Gurunath Kulkarni, Jogendra Kawade and Ulhas Pawar.

Besides Bharde and Khan, the House also condoled the deaths of former members Vasant Patwardhan, Pundalik Bhanarkar, Dashrath Tayade and Sambahji Thorat.
