Five militants among 7 killed, girl rescued in J
Srinagar, Dec 4 (UNI) Seven people, including five militants, were killed while security forces rescued a girl from the clutches of ultras in Jammu and Kashmir overnight, an official spokesman said today.
Security forces killed two militants in an ongoing fierce gun-battle at Rafiabad in Baramulla district of north Kashmir in the evening, police said They said an encounter took place between militants and a joint party of 22 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Jammu and Kashmir Police at Hef, Dangerpora in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district this evening.
Police said two militants were killed in the gunfight. Their identity is being ascertained.
Two AK rifles were seized from the slain militants, they added.

Security forces rescued Zainab Khatoon from a militant hideout at Doungsani Nallah after a massive search operation in the day.
Khatoon was abducted by militants from a marriage party at Manoo Gondoh area in Doda district of Jammu region on December one. She was later handed over to her parents.

Militants shot at and critically wounded one Imtiyaz Ahmad at Super Bazar, Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla today. He later succumbed to wounds in the hospital, the spokesman added.
Militants shot at and wounded Waseem Ahmad Zargar, a tailor, at Mohalla Mir Sahib, Baramulla last night. He was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to wounds.
Militants attacked security forces at Khari Loblotha village in Banihal area of Doda district today. Security forces retaliated and in the fierce clash, two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed.
The slain militants were identified as Irshad alias Shaheen and Qasim Gujjar alias Badshah Khan. Two AK rifles, seven magazines, two wireless sets were seized from them, the spokesman added.
Security forces apprehended one over ground Hizb worker along with 56 AK rounds, one Hizb letter pad and some incriminating material at Sherekhi in Bhaderwah area of Doda district last night.
