Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and UP enter school hockey semis

Chandigarh, Dec 4 (UNI) Hosts Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh advanced to the semi-finals of the boys Under-17 hockey competitions of the 52nd National School Games here today.

In quarter-final matches, Chandigarh blanked Himachal Pradesh by 10-0 and Punjab routed Manipur by 7-0.

Harinder Singh topscored for Chandigarh with three goals against Himachal.

For Punjab, Jaskaran Singh contributed three goals against Manipur. Haryana and Uttar Pradesh also qualified for the semi-finals.

Haryana accounted for Rajasthan 6-0 while Uttar Pradesh ended the challenge of Karnataka by 5-2.
