Paswan condemns Kanpur and Khairlanji events, demands CBI inquiry

New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) Quoting the Sachar Committee Report tabled in Parliament recently, Lok Janshakti Party Chief Ram Vilas Paswan today said the lot of minorities in the country was worse than that of the Dalits.

Briefing mediapersons on the upcoming International Conference of Dalit and Minorities here by the month end, Mr Paswan condemned the prevailing situation in Kanpur arising out of the desecration of the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar and demanded an CBI inquiry into the issue.

He said an innocent Dalit had been arrested in this case.

Mr Paswan also informed that his party had held rallies and demonstrations in protest against the atrocities on Dalits and minorities at Bahraich, Lucknow and Delhi during the week.

The LJP Leader also strongly condemned the massacre of four Dalits at Khairlanji in Vidarbha Region of Maharashtra.

Backwards, Muslims and Dalits should get separate reservation under the Dalit category keeping the creamy layer out from its ambit.

Mr Paswan demanded a government Committee be formed for reservation of jobs for the Dalits and Minority people in the private sector also.
