New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) After bagging a host of awards at the Indian Telly Awards, 2006, including the 'Best Channel of the Year award, NDTV India's Hindi talk show 'Muqabla' won the Best Talk Show Award at this year's Hero Honda Indian Television Academy Awards (HHITA).

'Muqabla''s episode on pre-marital sex, which was telecast in the third week of November last year, won this award for NDTV India, NDTV sources said.

Remarkably, it is the first time that a Hindi chat show has won such a prestigious award in a category comprising mostly of English chat shows. ''For the first time in the history of Hero Honda Indian Television Awards, a Hindi talk show has won this award. It is a moment of pride and celebrations for all of us at NDTV. It proves our constant endevour to connect with our audience through our innovative programmes that have the right mix of quality of topical issues and relevant content,'' Managing Editor of NDTV India and anchor of 'Muqabla', Mr Dibang said.

NDTV bagged four most prestigious awards at the Hero Honda Indian Television Academy Awards 2006.
