Dr Mukundakam Sharma to be sworn in as CJ of Delhi HC tomorrow
New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) Dr Mukundakam Sharma will take over as the new Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court tomorrow.
Haryana Governor Dr A R Kidwai, who is the officiating Lt Governor of Delhi at present, will administer the oath of office to the new Chief Justice at the Raj Niwas here.
A sitting judge of the Delhi High Court, Dr Sharma takes the place of Justice Virender Jain who has now been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Justice Jain was until now the acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.
Dr Sharma has served as a judge of the Gauhati and the Patna High Court and at present is the chairman of the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee.
