Jammu, Dec 2: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha will lay the foundation stone of Rs 200 crore multi-speciality medical institute of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) at Katra on December 5, sources said.

The institute will be built in 45 acres of land at Painthal Road near Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, the SMVDSB sources said yesterday.

Architectural plan for the hospital, which is to be completed in three months, was approved by the Governor at a high level meeting in New Delhi recently.

''The first phase of the institute, which includes a Rs 42 crore Cancer Hospital would be completed in 15 months,'' they said adding that the entire project is expected to be completed within three years.

It will be a complete health centre with a Medical, Nursing College, Research Centre, Holistic Centre and Meditation Centre besides Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Yoga and Faith, the sources added.
