Youth dies in police station, people stage 'dharna'

Etah, Dec 1 (UNI) Irked over the death of a youth in a police station today, people staged a 'dharna' demanding quick action against the accused.

Police said the incident occurred in Sabhapur village, where villagers beat black and blue a youth Abid, who had entered there to rob.

Later, the villagers took him to the police station, where he succumbed to injuries.

Agitated by the incident, villagers of Abid's village blocked the road, following which there was a traffic snarl for couple of hours.

Meanwhile, police has been deployed to avoid any untoward incident and A case has been registered against the 11 accused.
