Special Air India flights for Haj pilgrims

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 1 (UNI) Air India will operate four special daily flights from here to Jeddah from December 3 to 6, to meet the demand by the Haj pilgrims.

An official press release today said the flight would depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 1115 hrs and reach Jeddah at 1500 hrs (Saudi time). Each flight would be operated with an Airbus A310 aircraft with a capacity of 201 seats, it added.

For the benefit of Haj pilgrims, each passenger would be permitted a baggage allowance of 30 kg.

Arrangements had been made at the airport for the smooth handling of Haj pilgrims, the release added.
