Jalandhar, Dec 1 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) Punjab unit President Avtar Singh Karimpuri today expelled three party activists, including the party state general secretary Pawan Tinnu, from the party for their ''anti-party stand''.

Mr Karimpuri told UNI that Mr Tinnu, his associates Amarjit Singh Sidhu and Prabh Dyal, had been expelled from the party on directives from the party High Command.

Mr Tinnu and some of other activists had raised voice against the party High Command's decision of going to the polls in the next assembly elections in Punjab all alone without entering into alliance with other parties.

These leaders were stressing upon the need of an alliance.

The party president Ms Mayawati had taken exception to their anti party stand and announced at a rally here yesterday that she had directed the state leadership to expell them from the party.

These leaders also stayed away from yesterday's rally.

Meanwhile, expelled leader Pawan Tinnu termed the decision as one sided without giving them an opportunity to explain their viewpoint.

Mr Tinnu said he had been trying to voice party workers' viewpoint and wanted to meet the party High Command to explain their point.

However, he was denied an opportunity to do so.

He said that next course of action would be decided at a meeting of his supporters here tomorrow.

However, presently, he would not join any party and would work to advance the mission of late Mr Kanshi Ram, Mr Tinnu added.
