Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh's effigy burnt in Akola

Akola, Dec 1 (UNI) In protest against the alleged derogatory statement made by Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh regarding senior Gandhian Mr Mohan Dharia in New Delhi yesterday, Chief Minister was burnt in effigy by activists of the Gramin Patrakar Sangh and Vidarbha Mukti Morcha near the new S T Bus stand, here today.

Fourteen activists were arrested and booked under the relevant provisions of the Bombay Police Act, police said.
