Eight of a family get life imprisonment for dowry death case

Darbhanga, Dec 1 (UNI) A local court today sentenced eight members of a family to life imprisonment after convicting them in a dowry death case of 2004.

The Additional district judge of fast track court, Ganga Prasad, handed down all the eight members to rigorous life imprisonment after they were found guilty of murder.

Husband Ram Lal Yadav of Baruara village of this district had hacked his wife Pramila Devi to death after she failed to get enough dowry from her father in 2004. Yadav father, mother and sister were among other convicted in the case.

Ram Lal had demanded a motocycle from his in-laws and failure to get that he murdered his spouse.
