China for trade, education, cultural cooperation
Chandigarh, Dec 1 (UNI) China today stressed the need for opening window of cooperation by way of trade, cultural and educational exchanges with India to take forward the agenda of the leadership of the two countries.
The Chinese Minister of International Liaison Department Wang Jiarui, while interacting with Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Beijing today, said he had been impressed by the progress made by India, especially in the field of IT.
Mr Hooda said the visit to India by the Chinese President Hu Jintao had opened a new chapter in Sino-India relationship and hoped that the bilateral relations could be further strengthened in a number of fields.
While describing Haryana as the most progressive State in India, Mr Hooda said his government intended to achieve the goal of sustainable economic growth and recognized the importance of infrastructure and fostering a good investment environment in generating sustainable economic development. He invited Mr Wang to visit Haryana.
The Chief Minister also met Liang Brohua, the Governor of the Province of Jiangsu in Nanjing and discussed issues of mutual cooperation.
The Haryana delegation visited the Nanjing Technology and Economic Development Zone, which included a visit to a Thermal Power Plant. The delegation also visited the Dr Sun Yat Sen Memorial to pay homage to the great Chinese leader.
