Speaker orders minister to shut wine shop in Lado Sarai

New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) Delhi Assembly Speaker Prem Singh today summoned Minister of Excise and Urban Development A K Walia and asked him to immediately shut down a DSIDC wine shop recently opened in Lado Sarai.

The Speaker's move follows largescale protest demonstrations by Lado Sarai residents against opening of the wine shop, which they said would destroy peace and tranquility of the area.

The minister, during his meeting with the Speaker, was also handed over the complaints of the area residents, following which he ordered the Excise Commissioner to close the shop immediately.
