Man charred to death after car catches fire near DND flyway
New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) In the second incident in one week, a man was charred to death near DND flyway in South Delhi this evening after his car hit the side railings and caught fire.
The car, a Maruti 800, which was on its way from Noida to Sarai Kale Khan hit the protective railing near the DND flyway and caught fire, said the police.
They, however, denied that the CNG kit in the car caught fire.
The driver was trapped in the car following the accident at about 1715 hrs. Later his burnt body was found.
The body has been taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
The cause of the fire was not known and the identity of the person was being ascertained, police added.
On November 23, another person had died in a head-on collision between a car and a truck on the flyway.
