ISO status for two police stations
Jabalpur, Nov 30 (UNI) Two police stations in Jabalpur -- Kotwali and Lordganj police stations -- had earned the status of ISO 9001-2000 police stations after completion of its audit.
Inspector General (Jabalpur range) Vijay Kumar Singh told reporters here that a special team from International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) completed the audit for the third and final time on Tuesday.
Earlier, two police stations in Indore, three in Dewas and one in Khargone had received ISO police station status in Madhya Pradesh.
Mr Singh congratulated City Superintendent of Police Siddarth Choudhary, Lordganj Station House Officer Anil Vadya and Kotwali SHO M T Baig for the achievement.
He said DIG (Jabaplur range) SP D Sriniwas, the then SP, had played an important role to prepare action plan to achieve the status.
The IG said Kotwali Bhawan was an 100-year-old building and its renovation was done in a planned manner. Similarly, a good work was done to improve Lordganj police station building was built around 1700.
