Irina Brar wins 3rd leg of DLF Women's Professional Golf tour
New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) Irina Brar returned her his best card of the week and a final round of one-under 71 saw beat nearest rival Parnita Garewal by 18 strokes to win the third leg of the DLF Women's Professional Golf tour here today.
The golfer from Chandigarh negotiated adverse course condition with aplomb and returned a one-under card to lift the title.
It was a commendable feat considering that the amateurs are generally used to playing on a much shorter yardages.
''I am quite satisfied with my performance and looking forward to making a mark on the professional circuit,'' said an upbeat Irina.
Parnita Garewal submitted a card of 80 to finish second with a total score of 238. Sanam Merchant had to settle for the third position with the total score of 249.
The fourth leg would be played in Pune which would see Irina locking horns with Simi, winner of the first two legs of DLF Women's Professional Golf tour.
