HC summons records relating to selection procedure of police in UP

Lucknow, Nov 30 (UNI) Following a writ challenging the recruitment process in the Uttar Pradesh Police, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has sought records related to it.

Justice Devi Prasad passed this order on a writ petition filed by a constable Mamta Yadav and another.

The petitioners have alleged gross irregularities in the selection procedure of the sub-inspectors and constables The Court has directed the advocate to present all the documents before it on December one.

The state government has recently initiated a process to recruit sub-inspectors and constables.
