Happy to be back, Ganguly vows to prove worth against SAfrica

Kolkata, Nov 30 (UNI) Back in the team after a long wait, ex-India skipper Sourav Ganguly today said he hopes to prove his worth by scoring some good knocks in the three-Test series against South Africa starting December 15.

Talking to the media immediately after completing practice with the Bengal side, Ganguly said, ''I am happy to be back. I just want to go there and do well.'' ''I am playing with the same group so there is no problem at all. I just want to give my best,'' the former captain said after the news of his selection for South Africa came in.

Asked if would use the chance as a stepping stone to returning to the ODI team, Ganguly said, ''I am not thinking about ODI series, but just concentrating on the Test series for now.'' ''I bring loads of runs and years of experience with me,'' added the smiling southpaw on being asked what he brings to the team, which is down and out after a 0-3 drubbing at the hands of South Africa in the ongoing ODI series.
