GHIAL ties up with Accor to set up airport hotel
Hyderabad, Nov 30 (UNI) GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) had tied up with Accor Hotels and Resorts, Singapore, for setting up India's first airport hotel in Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad.
An agreement to this effect was signed here today and the construction of Business Hotel would commence shortly. It is expectd to be completed by the time the new international airport becomes operational in March 2008, GHIAL Chief Operating Officer T Srinagesh said in a statement.
As per the agreement, GHIAL would build the hotel in five acres-- about 2.75 km away from Passenger Terminal Buidling (PTB)-- and transfer it to Accor for operating, managing and maintaining in accordance with Novotel Brand standards as followed world-wide.
The hotel would be set up on par with international standards to provide top-class stay for transit passengers, tourists, business travellers and air crew within the airport premises.
