FOKANA to invest in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 30 (UNI) The Federation of Kerala Associations in North America (FOKANA), an organisation of Keralities in North America, has said they are ready for big investments in Kerala if the government and the socio-political sectors extended cooperation.

The anguish over investment in the state among the NRI's was not yet cleared and the government should come up with constructive projects and create an atmosphere conducive for investment, FOKANA president Sasidhran Nair told reporters here yesterday.

He said FOKANA, a confederation of 50 organisations in America, could take a favourable stand to help the government in this regard.

Considering the potential of the Medical Tourism, the government should appoint a brand ambassador to attract tourists to the state, he suggested ADDING THAT Medical Tourism should be made more attractive by exploiting the facilities of the best hospitals, and the medical colleges in the state.
